Hope everyone took a moment to hold memorial observance for the fallen soldiers today.
Well, I got around to blogging before months passed bye. I am impressed. LOL
We went to Baker Falls yesterday. It is on private property;however, the owners let you visit it. They have built stairs down to an observation platform. It is very pretty! Baker Falls is a falls in Coffee County, Tennessee. It has an elevation of 997 feet. Parking is difficult though. We parked in the driveway of a house being built. After the owners move in, I think the only way to this falls will be through walking up someones driveway.... Kinda felt like I was trespassing....
We also went to Short Springs State Natural Area. We were going to hike to Machine Falls but decided to do this hike another day. We went on the Busby Falls loop instead. Bobo Creek was pretty and the Lower Busby Falls was pretty as well. To get a picture of this falls from the front is impossible due to the angle of the landscape. Insects were biting on overdrive here. LOL... AND we even had on spray repellent.
Check out this owl we saw when the kids went to this program at REI.

Pretty hard to believe this cute thing can kill a dog or cat... BUT according to the ranger it can and will....
We attempted camping in the backyard;however, it started raining and we had to bring the tent inside... BUT camping inside is ROCKS anyway.... :)

Heather stayed cool and we saw a double rainbow!
