Our Christmas At Home

We decided to open our gifts today. The kids LOVED it because that way they can open gifts 3 days in a roll (4 actually) because Friday we are going to a friends for gift exchange. So spoiled... LOL but HEY........ It is Christmas! :)

Green Thing

OMG! We went hiking today and saw this creepy thing.... Not sure what it is but isn't it so icky???? ;)

We got our first accumulating snow of the year!

It was such a nice surprise! Well, any snow accumulating here in this city is ALWAYS a suprise because it never snows here. LOL

Kids were out of school and they LOVED every second of their day off!

Victoria's B day

Victoria turned 14 today! Friday we went to the movie, Saturday we spent some time at Mammoth Cave and spent the night in a Tee Pee. :) Today, we went to Diamond Caverns. It was very fun!

WOW

It has been 4 ever since I blogged. Where do I start... Well lets see.. Victoria is doing great at RMS. XC went wonderful! Season is over.



Zachary is doing great at CLA. Soccer is over. He was excited to get a trophy!!!!!!


Daniel is growing so much. He is talking a lot. I can tell his speach is getting more advanced. Heather walks a lot! She loves walking just to be walking.

I got a new water heater. :) Being who I am and the way I am you know I keep things until they are completely non-workable.. LOL



My brother got maried.




We decided to skip Halloween this year. The kids never really found the excitement in trick or treating like I did when I was a child... So we are staying at home,ordering pizza, and watching Halloween movies. :) JJ is out of town all that week on a business trip. :(

Starting to turn cold.. Hopefully, we will get some snow this winter.. ;) At least I can dream we might.... :)

Socks

Ok the kids were wondering if our cat could swim. So we tried it. Yes! She can swim..... :) However, she wasn't happy about it. We rewarded her wih a nice warm towel and a cat pouch. :) Note to self DON'T do this again... ;)

We had a GREAT day! We had a picnic at Old Stone Fort,went to Rutledge Falls, and had my favorite dinner and ate birthday cake! :) The kids even decorated the dining room for my party. :)




Also, more great news Heather took her first steps today. She took 3 actually without holding onto anything. :) Great job Heather! She is growing so fast. I love our kids sooooooooooo much!!!!!

I was beginning to wonder if Daniel thought Heather's name was It because he always referred to her as that.......... BUT today he said, "Heather has a movie too." :) OMG! That was so cute! This is the first time he has said her name. :)

Fall Creek Falls

It was a nice day to go to Fall Creek Falls. It is so pretty there. I think Daniel loves the falls more though than the swinging bridge. I do too. I was never a big fan of bridges that swing over water with dangerous rocks.... But the Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver is much more a challenge. It stretches 450 feet across and 230 feet above Capilano River. We went there not long after Daniel was born and conquered that.. LOL

Green Lynx Spider

We went over to the park today and had a picnic. Guess what we saw on our hike afterwards???? Ok I will tell you.... A green Lynx Spider. I have never saw a green spider before,so I researched it on the internet. It seldom bites humans, and its bite is harmless. It is found in the southern United States. I am like OMG! I have lived here 4 ever and never seen one. ;) Probably because I am such an indoor person... LOL

Fernandina Beach

I haven't blogged in a while. May was a VERY heartbreaking month for me. The story of how we got to the beach is very sad but the kids were happy they got to go for the day.

CMS Principal's Banquet 2008

Central Middle School had their Principal's Banquet tonight. All the students that got the invite had a 3.75 GPA or higher all school year. Victoria was so happy to receive her reward. :) I am so proud of her! GREAT job Victoria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dining Room Table

We got a new table for the dining room today. Our old table we had like 4ever! It had the original teeth marks from where Victoria was teething and bit it. LOL She is now 13........ I probably would have keeped it even longer if the leg didn't break off..... YES I know.... I am a major pakrat..... But so many memories where attached to it... Not the mention all the stains from all the COOL projects we created on top of it..... :)

Ooh well.. A new table with new creations are sure to come...

Washing Machine

Ok maybe I am easily amused but it is so neat to watch this new washer. My old one was broken so we replaced it with this. As you can see it a front load washer. It takes less water and a different type of washing powder. With a family of my size we needed a bigger washer. It looks odd though since we didn't purchase the matching dryer............ ;)

Victoria decided to self-teach herself sketching instead of continuing her classes at the Hobby Lobby doing oil painting. She is really GREAT at it!

Where did this talent come from? I am horrible at drawing.... LOL

Victoria needed a sidekick. So I volunteered. I have ridden this before but I told my myself I would never ride it again;however, I did anyway. Actually it wasn't as bad the second time around. I suppose the saying is right.... Some things are funnier with 2... ;)

BTW it seemed a lot longer than than less than a minute............. :)

camcorder

I really LOVE my new camcorder! It is a Flip Video. I like that it is small. Actually it is smaller than my digital camera. :) Both fit so nicely in my purse. :) Plus with this Flip Video camcorder you can do freeze frames.So not only do you get videos but pictures!! :)I don't like using the Crackle like it supports though. So I just download to my pc. :)

Memphis Zoo

Okay the kids are still on spring break so we traveled to the Memphis Zoo today. I love this zoo so much! The pandas are so cute! The entire zoo is excellent! Be sure to stop by if you are ever in Memphis,Tennessee. :)

TN Aquarium

Kids are out on spring break so we went to the aquarium today in Chattanooga. It was FUN! The new Penguin's Rock exhibit is so COOL! ;) It has gentoo and macaroni penguins in it. These 2 cold climate species are so playful... :)

Total Lunar Eclipse

The total lunar eclipse was GREAT! Hope you had your eyes to the skies and noticed this last night. Unlike solar eclipses,which require protected eyewear, lunar eclipses are safe to view with the naked eye. Speaking of which mark your calendar for the solar eclipse later this year (August). :)

Rockvale Middle School

Well here it is Victoria's new middle school for the 2008-2009 school year! Rockvale Middle School is opening in August! This is going to be GREAT! I hope they have a cross-country team..... I assumed it will be kinda weird cheering for the Ravens since we have cheered all this school year for the Tigers!

Nashville Zoo

We had a GREAT time at the zoo today! It was a a little cold though. I wish we had time to see all the animals but the zoo closed earlier than we thought. The Nashville Zoo is growing and it is looking wonderful! :)

Snow

OK It was just a dusting............. But nevertheless school was cancelled. :) And this was the best snow this winter. I had actually given up on snow because it is February already..... The kids were so surprised!
